How We Do It:

Commitment

We believe that Christians are called to be participants not just spectators. This is why every professing member of the United Methodist takes a vow before God and the congregation to support the church with his/her prayers, presence, service, gifts, and witness. The best way to live out this vow is to commit to serving on a committee. Church committees help to organize people with the ministries they are best gifted to serve. The point of the committee isn't to serve the committtee but for the committee to serve the ministries and mission of the Church. Ponca First has numerous committees on which to serve. A few of these committees are:

Administrative Committees

  • Staff Parish Relations Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Trustee Committee
  • Lay Leadership Committee
  • Ministry Committees

  • Stephen Ministry
  • Nurture Committee
  • Evangelism Committee
  • Worship Committee
  • For a description of the committees' duties and a list of committee members, please check with the church office at (580) 762-1681.
